Routine. How sweet it is! Variety. Keeps life interesting! Flexibility. Very important and helpful!
Yes, we have them all here. Sometimes some more than others. Right now we're high on variety!

Last Thursday Darin & Nevin took Renita to San Diego to go for a visit with her boyfriends' family. Then after picking up some supplies, back to the airport they went to pick up Nelson Burkholder who was here for the weekend. Sunday evening they took him to the airport again.

For this week we look forward to having some people come to bring heaters for the rest of the rooms that are as of yet unheated. They also plan to help install the heaters.
Then on Sat. other workers plan to come to blow in insulation in the newest wing. On Saturday evening around 20-25 people from Lebec, CA plan to join us for the night and Sunday. So we need to clean out a storeroom to convert it back to a bedroom again and get ready for our helpers. We are always glad for visitors, so we want to make sure we are ready!

All these plans in mind we got up this morning to find that Regina is sick with stomachache and fever. After talking with some of the others we hear that Raquel, our main cook, is also sick! Along with this I had been up about every two hours last night with Tonia, who seems to have earache. OK! So, the boys and I got our laundry started (all 10 loads!) and arranged for responsibilities to be juggled so that we do get lunch! And, I don't think anyone was left neglected.
Darin again made a run to San Diego today to get more supplies and to bring Renita back.

The children were so happy when one of our local friends brought an area rug tonight for the living room. It is certainly much warmer and softer than the tile floor and will be nice for this winter. Some of the boys even wanted to sleep there for the night.

For all you northerners who are enjoying or not enjoying your cooler days, we had 98 degrees here today! Yes, that's quite warm! There's almost always a wind blowing and it's very dry so the laundry was dried very quickly! And no, I didn't get all 10 loads done today. Maybe tomorrow.

So yes, we do still need your prayers that we may have strength and wisdom for whatever God may have planned for tomorrow! What a wonderful God we have that we can rest in the fact that nothing will be brought to us that He has not already approved!

Regina, I'm praying that you are feeling much better this morning. Love you, grandma

Gina I hope you're feeling much better!
It sounds like you will be about over run with people around there this weekend!
I don't know if I told you but after Jan 5, 09 Airtran will no longer go to San Diego. :(
So I will have to find some other way. Maybe I could take the train. hehe
Love ya

Sounds like it's going to be crazy around there for a while! I'll pray that everything goes smoothly.. Gina, hope you're feeling better!
Rachel, um... just a thought here.. are there any other airlines that fly to san diego? or was that the only one? because if it is, then i'm in trouble, too. i REALLY don't want to drive down there.

Actually Sarah I found some pretty good rates on Frontier Airlines. I don't plan to give up yet. Thanks for the concern though...

well, we've flown frontier all the times we went down, and i do like them. i have a frequent flyer number & everything. :) if i took the train i'd probably throw myself out onto the tracks halfway there.. (as in, under the train.) well, maybe not.

I'm drinking hot chocolate, but it's not strong enough. Think I'll go add some more chocolate. wait... that's not what i came here to say. Oh, hey- HAPPY ONE-DAY-FROM-YOUR-BIRTHDAY, SHARON! :) how early can i call you tomorrow? you know what's weird? The fact that i've been at work for a while already, and you're probably just getting up like right exactly now. and it's EARLY there.

Thanks Sarah! And as for how early... well, I usually get up anywhere from 5:30 - 6:00, but you know the first few minutes are not the most talkative ones! But, you should be well awake by then, since you are 4 hours ahead of us for now.

So if I call you before I go to work are you saying that would be too early? I don't want to miss it.
So Sarah, did you improve your hot chocolate? I've heard if you add peppermint schnapps to hot chocolate it's really good but since I don't like mint chocolate stuff I haven't tried it.

I was just looking at the times these comments were posted and they show up as your time. Odd.

not that odd, rachel. your xanga site puts the times in your own time zone doesn't it? why shouldn't sharon's site be allowed the same privilege? and the hot chocolate was a little plenty strong then, so I had to add water... and then... i've been drinking this same cup of hot chocolate all day long. lol jk. i actually did add water, but that was the end of it. :)

oh and sharon.. maybe i could just send you a voice mail. that way you could listen to it on your own terms. :)

SO like it doesn't matter where in the world you submit the comment it shows up in their local time zone. It seems like it would be from where the comment was submitted.

Time issue: I just posted and it is7:15 Eastern time, but it posted 3:15. So apparently it posts the time that it is on the site you are posting.

Or maybe you had already figured that out. Sorry if I'm behind time.

I definitely want to remember to get more antibiotic while I'm down there. I'm taking some now and this round will probably finish the bottle. SO much nicer than having to go to the Dr!
Did you have a good weekend?
Love ya
