Yes, we said we will wait on the Lord. We just didn’t know how long that might be! We were supposed to have our final immigration meeting yesterday, the 21st, and we were all ready to have some answers and move on with what needs to be done. We went to the office but there was some confusion there so we were told they weren’t ready yet. What a disappointment! Supposedly, next week we’ll know when the next appointment might be. Maybe. So, we continue to wait.

God knew exactly when to make it work for Galen & Edith to come. It has been like medicine to our hearts to have them here! Sophia, Carson & Dustin are having such a good time together! And the rest of us too! It seems they just got here and we only have a few days left.

Here are some pics of some of the girls in their new dresses that were sent with Galen’s. Thanks to all of you at Faith Community who helped to make them!

Thanks again to all of you who continue to pray for us and our situation here. We could feel your prayers this week and we still need them!

Wait? Wait.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength... they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. Is 40:31 We were singing this song the other day and the phrase, "teach me Lord to wait" really stood out to me. Do I really want God to teach me to wait?

What does it mean to wait on the Lord?

It means trusting in Him when life does not make sense.
It means believing that God will do what's best for our future, even if that includes pain.
It means being ok with so many unknowns.
It means going on with life each day as God leads us that day, even when we feel like just sitting down and waiting.
It means surrender of my will and wishes.
It means peace and quietness of heart after that surrender.
"Yes, teach me Lord to wait."

Thanks to all of you who continue to pray for us and our legal situation here! It does make a difference! We continue to wait for the 21st for our final meeting with immigration. We are in contact with the lawyer and it appears that very possibly some of our workers will need to leave. Our hearts cry out in protest! We need our workers. But, we also know that God is in control of this situation and He has a plan for everyone of us. And His plan will be the best.

On April 30 we had the very difficult job of saying good-bye to Noemy. She finished her time here and returned to Costa Rica. She was one of the Mom's here and had become very special to us. We miss you so much, Noemy! That same week Carlos, Daniela, Anita & Ivania left to live with their Mom. We miss them bunches. It seems anytime Carlos should come trotting around the corner with his sweet smile and "where's Gideon." He was working on the English words he knew. Sweet little guy! And the girls were always little sponges for any love given. They were the girls Regina cared for the month Noemy was gone.

On May 1st Regina was privileged to fly to IN for Vicki's graduation celebration. She flew on Friday afternoon and came back on Tues. She enjoyed her time there seeing family and friends. She even got the adventure of being delayed in Denver due to aircraft problems.

I had a special Mother's Day yesterday. I'm so blessed with my large family here and also was blessed to hear from others wishing me a good day. God is so good to us!

Tonight is Regina's turn to cook and her and a few others are doing a mystery supper. It sounds like it will be an interesting evening!

We wish you all a wonderful week!
