Oh yeah Sarah! No, not all our moments were dull! We stopped for supper in Deming, NM at Taco Bell. Mother so kindly wanted to help and reached out to open the second door on the side to make more room to get out. Unknown to me, Nevin was already leaning on that door on his way out. Well, the next thing I saw was this boy in slow motion, with lots of debris joining him, heading for the pavement! When it all stopped he was laying on his stomach in the midst of it all. But only momentarily! He swiftly brought himself back up into the van and declared himself staying there! So we commenced to picking up all the debris that had fallen. Well, some of us that is... I hear Gina saying, "Mom, look behind you." One of us was taking the opportunity to hang out! When we could again see clearly, after wiping our tears of laughter, we all agreed Taco Bell was not the place for supper!!

The wheels on the bus go round and round…

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' Isaiah 41:10

We claim this promise for this time of transition in our lives. We had a time of strengthening this weekend in Texas with the Shining Light board members and the supporting church there. Learning more about our upcoming responsibilities, feeling quite inadequate, and being so very thankful that we do not go to the work on our own! On the other hand, excited to be this much closer to the dear children and staff, ready to join our new family there!

The 2 days out of the van were a good thing! This morning we left at 7:00 ct from Texas and have driven on and on! We spent most of the day in Texas. Hours and hours of scrub brush, oil wells, wind turbines, and every few hours a town. And flat for as far as you can see. Tonight we stopped at 8:00 mt in Lordsburg, NM for the night and are hoping for an early start tomorrow again. We also praise God for protection for the van. We have not had any problems at all aside from the fact that we have to keep feeding it gas, which I guess isn't considered a problem but is unhandy! J

    Thanks for your prayers!

Truly God has been with us!

Lots of room, we think! Um... where will we sit?
No problem! :)

We had a wonderful day of traveling! Tonight we are in Joplin, MO at a Days Inn. 12 hrs behind us! The hours were not nearly as long with all the tokens of love from family and friends to pass the time. Thanks for praying!

Today is the day!

We've planned & worked hard, looking forward to today and now already, here we are.
The van needs to have the last things put in... no, there's not any more room! Pray for us these next few days as we travel so many miles and look forward to the work before us!

To our families and friends.... Thank you for all you've done for us! We love you all and pray God be with all of us as we trust Him through these Oh! so painful partings, knowing He doesn't call us to anything but that He also gives strength to complete!

Also, we again are praying for renters for our house. The other plan didn't work out so we trust again for God's leading in His time. We praise Him!

Countdown!

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

God is always on time! At 60 hours until we want to leave we get a phone call saying our house is rented! Yes, it's on time. What an awesome God we serve, and what a wonderful privilege to leave the details of our lives in His hands!

Praise Report!

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. Ps. 37:5

God is so good! We've been looking a lot for a van to buy and just didn't find what we felt we needed. Our minivan was sitting at the road waiting for a buyer for several weeks now. We committed it to the Lord and decided that in His time He will provide. Oh my! On Wed. we had a lady come and buy the minivan. On Thurs. we went to Michigan to look at an advertised van and it was exactly what we were looking for! So we bought it and brought it home. It's exciting to see just what the next detail is that God will take care of for us!
